The San Diego Westy Story - Peter Adams
The inspiration for what ultimately became San Diego Westy started in the Summer of 2009. After 20 years in the energy field as a mechanical engineer I was looking for something different. I bought a Vanagon Westfalia camper and named her Stella Blue. She took me on an 11,000 mile journey to the Arctic Circle and back. The trip was unforgettable.
When I returned to San Diego I was hooked on all things Westfalia. My thoughts were consumed by things I wanted to fix and improve upon on Stella Blue. But it was decision time. Should I go back into my prior field or continue the Westfalia love affair? I chose the latter and have never looked back.
